Central AC, a furnace or a ducted heat pump serves rooms through supply and return ductwork. Before replacing equipment, consider whether the ducts can carry the required airflow and where the current system falls short.

Look beyond the equipment

Airflow, fresh air and filtration each have a job.

A new HVAC unit is one part of the system. The air also needs a path to the rooms, a way to exchange with outdoor air and suitable filtration.

Aeroseal: address duct leakage

Testing measures how much air escapes from the ducts. Sealing can reduce that loss, but it does not replace damaged ducts or correct every airflow problem.

I had an issue w my condenser, called City Ventilation, llc , spoke to Vitali about the issue, he sent his men out they assessed the issue told me how much it would be to fix and the cost of a new unit would be cheaper. Do you handle HVAC repairs?

Our work focuses on new installation and equipment replacement. We do not offer repair service, oil-system work or water heater installation. If you are considering replacement after a breakdown, tell us which equipment has failed.

Can a new system use my existing ductwork?

Often, but we first need to check the ducts for condition, size, leakage and airflow. Replacing the equipment alone may leave the same uneven temperatures if the underlying air distribution problem remains.

Should I replace my AC with a heat pump?

A heat pump can provide both cooling and heating. Whether it suits your home depends on the existing heating system, winter heating requirements, electrical capacity and the equipment selected. We can discuss that choice during an estimate.

What determines the cost of an HVAC replacement?

Equipment capacity and efficiency matter, as do access, duct changes, electrical work, controls and the amount of removal or reconstruction required. A useful quote identifies the equipment and included installation work so you can compare the scope.

Can I get Aeroseal without replacing the HVAC unit?

Yes, duct sealing can be a separate project. We first check whether Aeroseal suits the duct system and whether any accessible damage needs attention. It is available for residential and commercial duct systems.

Does a better filter bring fresh air into the house?

No. A filter treats air passing through it; ventilation exchanges air with outdoors. An ERV and a media filter have different roles, and either installation needs to be compatible with your home and HVAC system.

Are rebates or financing available?

Some projects may qualify for utility incentives or financing. Eligibility depends on your utility, the equipment and current program terms. Review PSE&G heating and cooling programs or JCP&L Clean Comfort, then ask about your proposed installation before relying on an incentive.

How long does installation take?

The schedule depends on the project. A straightforward replacement has a different scope from new duct routes or a multi-zone installation. Equipment availability, access and any required permits also affect timing; confirm the expected schedule with the estimate.
